My freshman year at Texas A&M University has been everything I had hoped it would be. I've been able to connect with tons of new people and try new things. I've also had to learn to be self-sufficient, since I left the aid of my parents. One of my favorite classes has been my Comm 230 class: "Communication Technology Skills." Going into the class, I really didn't have a clue what to expect. I had only registered to meet my degree requirements. I soon figured out that the class was exactly what I wanted to learn about for the career I've been wanting to pursue. That career is somewhat vague as of now, all I know is I want to try to do something with cameras and technology tied into the business world. I have been pursuing photography for a few years and I have grown a knack for it. One skill of mine that has been underdeveloped was video and editing video. In my Comm 230 class, we learned about photography, video, editing, audio, equipment, and much more. Due to the many practice assignments and projects, I have gotten much better at editing in Adobe Premiere Pro and it is no longer an undecipherable code.

Thanks and gig'em!
